Hadi Awang expected to retain top post in PAS elections, says source

Abdul Hadi Awang is relied upon to hold his post as PAS president during the 67th PAS yearly broad gathering and focal initiative races in November.

A source near the matter disclosed to FMT that the people who went against Hadi had left the party in 2015 to frame Amanah and from that point forward “PAS has been harmonious”.Usually, the president’s post isn’t tested. The main exemption was in 2015 however that opponent camp lost and has since left PAS,” he said.

Hadi, 73, has held the president’s post since 2002.

Remarking further, the source said the races and AGM would be held in a crossover setting, with syura chamber individuals, focal council and state chiefs to go to face to face. Others will join in essentially.

The principle setting of the gathering will be in Kuala Terengganu.

The source added that PAS was at present holding gatherings at the branch level while the gatherings at the body electorate level will start in mid-October.

“Shows at the state level will be held toward the beginning of November. These will end with the yearly meeting at the focal level,” he said.

PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan disclosed to Harakah Daily that the AGM will notice severe SOPs taking into account the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said in excess of 1,000 agents were relied upon to join in, with most of them going to it practically.
